We take pride in our LGBTQ care. Through our partnership with the UofL of School of Medicine and the LGBT Center we are working hard to comprehensively improve care to our LGBTQ neighbors and patients. This includes listing top-notch and affirming providers on our website and creating changes to our electronic health system so that all patients can easily share their preferred name and pronouns.

Our goal is to develop services that support the diverse needs of the LGBTQ community through improved access, provider and team member training, and the implementation of a comprehensive patient care model.

UofL Physicians – Family Medicine and Internal Medicine providers and staff have been at the forefront of this initiative. Our compassionate family and internal medicine expert providers have been delivering patient-centered care for the LGBTQ community and are committed to meeting the needs of all of our patients. As members of UofL Physicians, we are also committed to referring patients to other expert and compassionate specialists when specialty care is needed.

We urge you to share your feedback on the care that you receive in these practices by sending an email to WeAreListening@UofLHealth.org so that we can continue to improve our services.
