The Movement Disorders Program serves patients and caregivers from Kentucky, southern Indiana and surrounding regions, specializing in helping them function as well as possible with their disorder while waiting for a cure. The program focuses not only on physical aspects but also on the emotional and psychological health of the patients and their caregivers. The following centers and programs are offered through the Movement Disorders Program:

  • Lunch and Learn Speaker Series

Bill Collins Parkinson’s Patient Resource and Education Center

The Bill Collins Parkinson’s Patient Resource and Education Center is named in honor of a Louisville native who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1973. Located on the first floor of the UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute, the Patient Resource and Education Center provides patients and their families with assistance and information, including:

  • Access to local and regional support groups for specific diagnoses
  • Patient assistance with medications and insurance
  • The latest technology to research and learn more about their disease

Mind and body exercise series

This exercise series is available for any individual with movement disorders, including current or previous Frazier Rehab patients. All classes are held in the Bill Collins Parkinson's Resource Center, located on the first floor of Frazier Rehab Institute. Classes are FREE and held on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. until noon.
