“Pediatric Cardiology Associates is committed to providing superior cardiology services to all our patients, from prenatal days to the teen years. We are committed to delivering individualized, patient-centered care for arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, genetic abnormalities and heart failure, among many other conditions,” said Chris Johnsrude, M.D., ULP pediatric cardiologist and chief for the UofL Division of Pediatric Cardiology.

The practice’s 10 board-certified cardiologists offer state-of-the-art services in all areas of pediatric cardiology medicine. Services include: non-invasive electrocardiography; stress test exercising; 24-hour Holter and transtelephonic event monitoring; two- and three-dimensional echocardiography; up-to-date diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures and therapeutic catheter-based treatments such as: balloon valvular angioplasty for obstructive lesions; pulmonary valve and artery stenosis; aortic valve stenosis; coarctation of the aorta; and closure of atrial defects and abnormal arterial vessels, including patent ductus arteriosus. In addition, PCA treats patients with many types of heart rhythm disorders, including those requiring electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, pacemakers and defibrillators.
