Family Medicine

At UofL Physicians - Family Medicine, we know how important your family is to you. Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. We provide continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages, sexes, diseases and parts of the body. The UofL Physicians - Family Medicine practice treats patients throughout  the Louisville community, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion. The Louisville family practice takes care of thousands of families each year.

The physicians at the UofL Physicians - Family Medicine practice take their time to develop a deep understanding of each patient as a whole person. We have the expertise to consider all of the influences on a person’s health. We take into consideration your limitations, problems and personal beliefs when deciding on a treatment plan.

We will serve as a partner to our patients, to maintain well-being, empower you with information and guidance to maintain health over time, and provide care that includes long-term behavioral change interventions that lead to better health.

The practice includes family medicine, primary care, chronic care and sports medicine. Fourteen faculty, 26 residents and fellows and 40 clinical staff provide services near the UofL campus at Cardinal Station.
