Lahoma Prather, DNP, APRN
I started as a neurodiagnostic tech at ULH in 1997, became a nurse in 2003 and worked on the Neuro ICU before going back to Neurodiagnostics as an RN. I spent a few years at he Kentucky Board of Nursing as the Practice Consultant while I finished my DNP and have been back at UofL Health since 2016 and have worked for Neurology and Neurosurgery. I joined Neurology as an APRN in 2022.Education & Training

Excellent physician and practice; been with them for a long time; even as a child it's the best place to go. They care about your concerns explain everything in detail make a plan and work through it and succeed. Always have felt not only do they do their job, but they also actually care for their patients.

I was in audubon hospital doctors all very helpful resectful and all nurse's A+ to hospital staff and a special thanks to the chef all involed in the food very good nice portions and presintaion A+ for them thats important when it is what I always look forward to when you are confound to bed and teliviison so I hope the kitchen staff are a important part of the healing process thank to all of you

My appt, with Lahoma Prather was beyond of being very concerned about my health issues, she was very compassionate and understanding of questions I addressed and explained those concerns in an upmost way that I could understand. She is top notch and very professional and friendly, I would highly recommend her and or Dr. Chris Shafer to anyone that needed neurological care.

Lahoma s. Prather was very through she ordered a mri, and an inpatient stay at Jewish hospital to monitor my seizures even called in seizure med and new migrane med which all occurred on my 1st visit. Which is better than most Dr's and she is a nurse practitioner. I see Dr Shaffer in 3months for test results

I haven't received test results yet from this provider. My test are May 8. I'm sure my doctor will discuss the results with me in a way I will understand. This was my first time seeing this doctor . I feel confident that she will find out what is wrong with me so we can arrange how to take care of it.

I appreciate the kindness I have experienced while attending this UofL neurological office. I have felt listened to and heard as I have shared my hopes and concerns. I have felt comfortably safe asking any questions I have had on my mind. This recent visit was my first with Lahoma. Every other visit has been with Dr. Shafer. Every appointment I have had has created peace in my heart and a smile on my face. Thank you!
