I appreciate almost everyone I have met at the u of l central location. Ive only had one doctor I ask to change from in about 15 years

She is very caring person.

She walked in my room didn't know who I was. Said wrong room and said well I'm here so I will stay. Didn't really know who I was until she looked me up and still was somewhat clueless. No empathy at all!!! Doesn't listen just assuming things. I will NEVER go back to her again. Every visit has been unpleasant and she needs to get to know her patients and not look at them like ..next and hurry up

I don't feel that Jackie Smith actually listened well and provided me options and satisfactory answers to my questions about my health. I went for a check up and had specific questions and the only physical contact was a stethoscope for a few seconds. The "checkup" consisted mostly of yes or no questions and not gathering empirical evidence about my body. They asked me to fill out an extra questionnaire about my mental health then left it on the counter after the "checkup" was over which seemed careless. I wanted to make an appointment with a different person who I actually consider my preferred primary care provider but this person came up as the default when I went to make the appt online and it did not show me options to make an appt with another provider such as the one I prefer and who I think is better suited to answer my questions. Can you change that on the online appointment portal? So it shows different providers? I do not want Jackie Smith to show up as my primary provider- I only saw her the first time because my preferred person was not available and now I want my preferred person (Pohlgeers) back please as my primary. Thank you

Dr. Jackie Smith was rude, had zero bedside manner and did not seem to have an accurate picture of my medical history. She nearly refused to re-prescribe my medication without hardly even looking at my medical chart. She claimed that my medical history of migraines meant that she couldn't prescribe my birth control, however, she NEVER discussed how serious this was at my last appointment with her in August of last year. I have been on this medication for the last ten years, it was in my medical chart which proves she barely even read my chart BOTH times I had seen her. She vaguely spoke about alternative medications and neglected to actually discuss them with me or walk me through all of my options. Instead she was rude and continued to tell me all of the side effect of taking birth control while experiencing migraines as if to shame me for asking for my prescription to be filled. She used poor language with me that didn't feel appropriate to how a doctor should be relaying information and speaking to a patient. Language like saying "hard no" about prescribing me birth control. And instead of urine sample she said "go pee in a cup". She also had the audacity to tell me to "try to relax" when she noticed my heart rate had gone up because she made me so incredibly uncomfortable. The language was just the cherry on top proving her lack of respect for me as her patient. Her lack of care, attention to my medical records and the inappropriate language she used with me has left me speechless. I do not want to ever see this provider again and will be requesting a new provider immediately.
