The first doctor I saw, I think she was a resident or something had a great personality and was helpful and explained everything so carefully. She was very kind, gentle, and caring. Dr. Metzinger was a little less so. He seemed agitated or on edge. Maybe, he was stressed. I am confident that he Is a great doctor, but I felt a wee bit Intimidated by his demeanor. He was definitely knowledgeable and prepared. He answered my questions and was clear about my plan of care, the diagnosis, and the risks. I did wish someone had explained more about what to expect at the preoperative appointment. I was just told they would ask me some questions. I had my vitals taken, and was weighed. There was a blood test and an EKG. No one has called with the results, but I was able access them on My Chart (except the EKG.) No one called to give me the results of the Pap smear I had in the office, but I did find the results online as well. I had to Google many things to understand and interpret the results. Overall, it was a good visit and I believe I will get great care. I am confident that Dr. Metzinger Is an amazing and talented doctor/surgeon. Hopefully, he was just having an off day or was under some sort of stress. I know he has a very difficult and stressful job. I am blessed that he is willing to treat my condition.

I was referred to Dr Metzinger on Wed and got a app the following Monday. The whole office staff was very professional. I left feeling very confident that I was in good hands.

I was referred to Dr Metzinger based on a recent CT scan that I had. I was overwhelmed by the possible diagnosis and wasn't sure what questions to ask at the appointment. And because of that I just, before this survey, sent Dr Metzinger several questions in the patient portal asking for clarification on my questions, diagnosis and surgery (Scheduled for 9/12) I want Dr Metzinger to be the only surgeon touching me. I don't want my uterus and right ovary removed...now that I have thought about it. I would rather go through a 2nd surgery if that is necessary. But I wasn't given enough words to type in the message to say that. I so hope that he will be able to call me tomorrow to discuss. Glad you asked :)

Very satisfied with my physician and the care he provides.

The resident asked and answered my questions and had a better plan than the provider. The provider only wanted to know who sent me to him and bashed all of his colleagues by saying "they just think I can remove anything and relieve their pain." When he asked why I was here, I explained that I was sent to the ER for possible kidney stones and after CT imaging, they found a 10cm mass on my Ovary which they were concerned about and coul be causing the extreme pain that was radiating to my back. His reply was "Do you know where your ovaries are? They are way too low to cause back pain. Even if I were to take it out today, you would still have the pain." I was so taken back by his lack of bedside manor. He said "go home and we will set up an MRI and will schedule a Telehealth appointment in three weeks. I have still not been set up with an MRI appointment. The resident would be a better choice of doctor than Metzinger. He did not want to hear anything I was trying to say.

I Was Treated Extremely Kind by Everyone in The Office

Dr Metzinger and his staff was above courtesy, professional care, respect and concern that I have ever had at a doctor's office or any medical facility.

The new office renovations are wonderfulAnd much more accessible . Dr Metzinger is the best and his team are all respectful and have a good relaxed , stress free work environment .I have recommended Uof L and Dr Metzinger to several of my friends who have like issues. Dr Todd is truly a great asset to the office. A very caring young lady . The office is easy to get to and an ample parking lot . I come from a 2 hr drive and time change so I notice and appreciate all the little things . I have never had a bad experience and look forward to my yearly appointments

I absolutely love Dr. Metzinger and Judy. They are very educated about my illness. I feel like they really care about my family and me. I would recommend them to anyone in my situation. Dr. Metzinger is a stand up guy who is meticulous with his work.

Dr Meizenger was very rude and condescending. He was annoyed that I was sent there but I do not have cancer. (That was my regular ob/gyn's decision not mine.). He demanded that I lose 50 pounds within a month before he would do the hysterectomy. (50 pounds in a month? That's not even possible!). I wouldn't let him treat my dog, let alone me after this horrible experience. His assistant who performed the gyn exam, Dr. Webber, was considerate and helpful.

Had a SUPER good experience at this office. The receptionist was extremely nice and helpful. When I was called back a first saw a woman before Dr. Metzinger. She was WONDERFUL!! Spent time with me and answered all my questions. She took her time with me and I greatly appreciate this. Then Dr. Metzinger saw me and I was pleased with him as well. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Dr. Metzinger and his NP Judy Gladish are above average in providing medical care, knowledge and customer compassion. In addition, the James Graham Brown Cancer Center staff and facilities are excellent. I am fully satisfied with all levels of care I have received for my Endometrial Cancer journey.

I was seen by a young lady prior to seeing Dr Metzinget. She did tell me her name and title but I admit I didn't totally get it. I assume she was an intern. I really want to thank her for being so kind and putting me at ease. I have cancer and live in constant dread and this was another new doctor to me and she really helped calm me.

Doctor Metzinger explained everything quite clearly and did not give me False hope. He was very straight forward about my Cancer and what can be expected. I truly appreciated his frankness.

This was a followup visit after a total hysterectomy following a diagnosis of uterine cancer. As always, the doctors and staff were professional, compassionate, helpful and highly competent.

It's been some years since I last saw Dr Metzinger. I was very impressed with the new look of the waiting area and exam rooms. Everyone was very nice and helpful. And Dr Metzinger is the best oncologist I know. The whole experience left me calm and very sure I was in good hands.

What do you say about someone who saves your life? I have been a patient with Dr. Metzinger starting in 2018. I had a large tumor and stage 1 cancer in my uterus. He and his staff have been amazing, this not being a strong enough term for the wonderful people and my experience. I thank God everyday for Dr. Metzinger and his fellow physicians and nurses who have given the best care imaginable.

Communication with me were good.explanations of treatments and of treatments expected recovery times,good I do have a good understanding of all that. I have made myself familiar with medical terminology for decades.i was well informed enough to have confidence in Dr's. Choice of treatment etc.

This was best telehealth call I have had because team took time to listen to me and answer all my questions. Doctor also stayed on call and answered my questions. In the past he usually only stays a couple minutes and leaves.

Last visit the provider and other physician seemed a little less concerned about my issues. Short. Both walked out and I wasn't told if I needed to wait to go to check out or what or when to be seen? I eventually went up front and she said u have an appt in Sept already scheduled. However one min the dr says repeat pap in 6 months next time 1 year? Confused at why the vatiation
