I had to have a catheter taken out. The nurses at St Mary's put on the bag upside down. To say the least I was very upset. No one seem to believe this was possible but It was. After the surgery I received, I did not expect to have to drain a bag full of urine with a straw cut in half lengthwise. It was a very trying time. That was not easy to figure out. During my visit they were very helpful and very upset themselves. They confirmed my feelings and seemed to completely understand where I was coming from. They took pictures to show the hospital and removed the catheter gently. They knew I was dehydrated and let me go home so I could relax and rest. They told me to start drinking a lot of fluids and stay off the Muralax for a bit. Which was the right decision because I did start peeing after a few hours. They are Dr Gupta and the nurse that was in the room with me. Very kind and helpful!!!

Cannot say enough about Dr. Gupta and medical assistants, scheduler etc. It is extremely rare to find a Dr. As knowledgeable, caring, respectful, understanding, friendly, approachable, and one that listens to every wordy you are saying and responds with detailed information. As for the medical assistants they too treat you like Dr. Gupta, they make you feel you matter. Cannot ask for better people. I am in awe, elated, and blessed to have been scene by such awesomely fantastic professionals. Cannot thank you enough. . All deserve recognition and a raise. You can't get better than this.

The entire staff is friendly definitely helps ease the anxiety I have for doctors especially surgeons. Love all of them.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Guptas office. Everyone there was so kind and so understanding I was saying for a very sensitive issue, and everyone was outstanding. The only reason I did not answer the question about lab results. In the last three months. My results are not back yet, so that is the only reason I have not heard from them, however the surgery scheduler called me within 24 hours and had my surgery scheduled preop testing scheduled and emailed me all information for my procedure. Overall, it was an amazing experience given the situation.

In general, I find the medical system, fragmented, uncaring, and difficult to navigate. If all medical offices were like this one, the medical system would be so much better that It's hard to even fathom. They get an A+++++++

The receptionist who answered the phone and the supervisor were very kind and compassionate. They got me in, even though I was a new patient, in a few days. My original appnt. Was not for weeks. I was in a physical crisis & wasn't sure what was going on - I called 3 drs for help. The other 2 never called back. Dr Gupta's office got me in w/in 3 hours and addressed my issues, changed my meds, gave me vaginal injection & within 3 days I was back to normal. She and her staff (Monique particularly) are so caring, knowledgeable, and just plain awesome. They know me, my story, my history, they see ME as a person not just as a patient. I am so lucky to have found them & have them on my health care team. She is such a tremendous asset to U of L.
